You don't need geo notes for either of your examples. ;) You gave examples of location-restricted web search ("Find menu of close by restaurants"), which can be done without any geo-graffiti-notes, etc. ;) The whole point of the geo notes is that they are NOT regular web pages and therefore have a different infrastructure and support (that could be monopolized by Google).
