No, but I can imagine them picking off supporters. If these high levels of unemployment continue and if Obama is seen as doing nothing and the Dem left does little or nothing politically, I can see the language of the right recruiting strongly. If unemployment drops and/or Obama is seen as trying to address unemployment (with the Reps either not helping or actually hindering), then I can see the right not nearly so successful.

Given the current political culture, I don't see a political narrative based on an economic divide working. Unless, of, course, the economy genuinely tanks, much deeper than the first drop.
