Why would subscription be cheaper.. What I do with Quicken is, every 4 years, I buy a copy of Quicken Suite at 99 dollars which also gives me a copy of their QuickTax for the year which on a stand alone basis costs 39.99 here in Canada.. There are no other choices so yeah, it is aggravating but as far as cost goes, it is not too bad as long as you don't upgrade every year and there is no need to any ways..
