Yes! For some wimps, reality is just too much to handle, and they need to filter it out.

And Mr. Johnson, whose biggest aspiration it to lie on a beach in the Bahamas (he doesn't even know how to pick islands, let alone stocks), clearly is not mentally equipped to deal with the way things really are, nor the people who go to the trouble to point them out.
