<how so?> You actually need somebody to explain to you that Obama is not a power mongering Lenin-style Commnist? Obama is an intellectual -- an extraordinary one at that. He presides over a political system that has been corrupted by people who are extraordinary in their lust for money and their use of the US political system as a vehicle to enrich themselves. This is not a leftwing vs rightwing thing at this stage of the game. This is a flaw in big-money corrupt US politics. Well organized fanatics abound and can be used to do the bidding of those who are only in it for the money, but there is no 'communist agenda' and to claim that there is or that this is Obama's political style is 180 degrees off the mark.

Obama's central problem is that he hesitates to marshall the power he needs to fight things through the system. So instead of moving forward he ends up seeing his initiatives killed by a thousand little cuts as the pigs at the trough squeal in delight. Healthcare is the prime example of the day -- but his inability to grapple with the power brokers of Wall Street is an equally dismal failure.
