If you think you have a different story to tell, then by all means do your analysis and post it. Is the GOP only capable of criticism or do any of them do original analysis on their own?

I could come up with some equally faulty analysis, but I don't see the point. The whole idea of assigning blame for debt to parties based on a tiny sample of presidents is ridiculous. Criticizing the faults in the attempts is more important and reasonable then trying some equally faulty and partisan "original analysis".

The president doesn't equal the party.
The presidents of each party are very different from each other.
The sample is so small as to be meaningless.

I could look at congress and say most of the debt, was created by the Democrats, if I cared more about "original analysis", or in reality more like "scoring partisan points", but I care more about making accurate reasonable statements, than original statements which are misleading or unreasonable.

Who is responsible for the US Debt...GOP or Dems?

The reasonable answer is both.

If that's ruled out of bounds and an answer is insisted on, I'd have to say the Dems because

1 - The highest deficits as a percentage of the economy where under Dem presidents.

2 - Most of the spending and debt occurred when Dems had a majority of at least one house of congress, and often both.

3 - Most of the entitlements that drive spending where created with the Dems totally in control. (But many Republicans voted for them, you get the same thing in reverse for a number of ways Republicans have increased spending, which is part of the reason I'd have to say the real reason is "both".)

4 - When Republicans where in control and did increase domestic spending a lot, the usual cry from the Democrats is that they where not increasing it enough, or even that the Republicans where making "draconian cuts", while the spending was being rapidly increased.
