aadenis, I'm in Idaho. I got ahold of the Dept. of Finance (regulates brokers) and they sent me 13 alleged complaints against Datek. It was pretty hard to follow but appeared to me to be violations of the # of shorts allowed for a certain time period vs. total # ?? Anyway, to find 13 complaints they had to go back to 1974. My take: local brokers can't take the competition. Maybe I'm wrong? I'm just trying to participate in the system and having a heck of a time doing it. I may go to Waterhouse. I'm going to call them today and see if I could have traded ATPX. It appears that the price has settled down now and this is a non-issue for me now. I always intended to hold this company long term, I just thought the ups and downs would present an opportunity. I'm sure it will. Good luck, JR
