Irby, Gene, and Everyone,
Thankyou. Thanks for creating this informative and supportive thread. SI should be paying you guys. This thread just made me $75 bucks poorer, however, the potential upside looks promising. Yesterday I read the first 100 posts and the last 150. My head was ready to explode. Irby I especially appreciated your post about breaking your own rules. Ouch ... I hate that!

There is nothing more -gratifying- than to watch NBR and see the stk HIGH..yup that's what I paid..or the low..yup that's were I sold! I've earned the dubious distinction of having lived through both of those moments. DOH!

I could follow alot of the posts, but must plead complete ignorance on the three MA stuff. I am certainly going to try ang get a handle on some TA basics. Currently I am employing the services of Quote.com -pay- yahoo finance -free- scottsdale brokerage - $9.00/trade and Motley Fool -free- and now The Final Frontier.
No TradeStation yet. My setup is bordering on inadequate. I won't upgrade to an efficient, super-fast set up until I have proven to myself that I can consistently earn money. The jury is still out.

I am very apprehensive about advise. Sometimes advise can be a poison, I have taken it only to find out later the induced results. An early error was trying to use great investing advise. It took a few days to understand that what works for investors can really give a daytrader fits.

I started trading about ten weeks ago. My first day I made 3 grand. My friend told me I would have been better off if I had lost 3.

I thought he was just being anti, but you know he might have been more than half right. The quick win went to my head. I thought I knew something, when I didn't. I have alot to tell, but there is no point in trying to say it all in one shot. I appreciate what is here in this thread. I endeavor to contribute!
Thanks again, AE
