That not nationalizing it lock stock and barrel but their putting it more and more under government control. Ignoring that fact, obscures the truth and makes good policy harder to achieve. Slightly more or incrementally more would be a better description. Insurance is already regulated to the hilt by the states. The current bills are really playing around the edges of the system, going nowhere near the heart of the system.
