Yes the Obama administration and Congress is distracted by partisan politics and health care. I think they've only been "distracted" by AQ and the war recently - consider how the Afghan staffing decision was drawn out. They haven't seemed too focused on AQ and terrorism either.

And your opposition would be from the left. Where is the conservative opposition to nuclear, natural gas or even renewable energy?

I'd balance the damn budget come hell or high water.

Maybe we should cut out the $800B "stimulus" plans filled with pork barrel projects.
