Outlook for the PC industry has changed quite a bit over the past few weeks. Make sure your research up to date. The revised '98 growth estimated that I posted was released by UBS Securities within the past week.

I have no doubt that Compaq will continue gaining market share.
I am not so sure about their profit margins given that their product mix is gravitating toward the low-end.

In any case, profit margins, unit shipments and market share do not equal profits, just ask Intel.
