"I've tried not to deviate from presenting simple truth and I don't believe I have"

When others dispute the accuracy of your "simple truths" a common decency would suggest an attempt to validate your "simple truths". Philosophy and philosophers deal with "Truth" issues and the plethora of debate, argument, and controversy over thousands of years would suggest that truth is anything but simple. Of course, if it is simple for you then you may be one of those people WHO lack the capacity for self doubt?

"Which premises are you referring to as 'false?'"

Millions of them.

"I was not under the misconception that furthering humanity was my task"

It isn't. I made no such implication. The fact that it was my opinion that you had not furthered your own rational self (your humanity) led me to the observation--an oblique hint at Donne and "No man is an island." To assure you of a lighter tone, I do not consider self worth or rational coexistence to be a moral "task" or "duty" to others!

I suppose you could call it a "Simple truth" that I am privy to! Surely you don't think that that "which also does nothing to further humanity" is a CRITICISM when one of your "simple truths" is that "I was not under the misconception that furthering humanity was my task in the first place"!! :-)

I hope this clarifies any "misconception" that anyone was criticizing you!
