I'm buying only because that has been my anecdotal experience, even within my own family, who I consider to be above average intelligence and highly educated. It's kind of shocking to hear the amount of crap coming from Evangelical sources. Especially shocking is when you starting reading articles about how Texans want to teach Creationism alongside Evolution in science classes.

I went to private Catholic schools growing up in Texas and in those schools, I learned about religious ideas, but I learned them in religion classes, not in my science classes. My Catholic priests knew how to teach kids to remain intellectually honest, while maintaining their faith in God. The Evangelicals, on the other hand, seem like a lunatic fringe to me with their theories that the Earth was magically created 10,000 years ago despite all the scientific evidence.
