No. It's a watered down mess, because the Dems didn't have the backbone to do what they were elected to do. The Dems have 60 votes in the Senate and a large majority in the House and a Dem President. They just lack cojones. It's a shameful squandering of the public trust.

The Dems are simply afraid to go the whole distance, because they are as afraid of the GOP as a victim of abuse is afraid of the abuser. Instead, they should have come out with guns blazing and do what they were elected to do.

I don't know if they will pay the consequences for it in Nov, but if they do, then it serves them right. I believe in consequences, which is why voted against the GOP in 2008.

I'm not saying the GOP is any better. In fact, they are much worse. However, there's no getting around it...the Dems are a very disappointing party.

I think this country is just in shit shape. We need a new party that says what its going to do and then does what it says. I really hope a center right party that is high on renewable energy emerges from this mess of a system we have now. I'd vote for them in a heartbeat if they had a leader capable of winning.
