I use Dahl for most part as a trend indicator. Don't buy a stock unless Dahl is above 0, don't sell it short unless it is below. Good observation on slope and distance from 0 line but it is hard to look at such things if you are tracking 4000 stocks, so 0 line becomes key.

Bob, you are more of a trader than me. 5/9 restricts your return. I would suggest that we are looking for the big trend/return stock. a 5/9 could whipsaw you out of a lot of stocks. be sure and run system tests to see what returns will be.

No experience, good luck and good traveling. Do you really have an old Greyhound bus?
