Intel's new Deschutes .25 micron pentium II processor if I am not mistaken is due for release in January 98 (for mobile part) and sometime in 1Q 98 (for desktop part). It uses a system bus of 100hz and the new i740 intel 3D graphics chip on the motherboard. I would think S3 would want to have the MXi (for mobile) and the GX3 (for desktop) ready for this launch. If not they would miss again as they did with AGP. Mark Z.
