The Democrats should be exceptionally worried about this election and their prospects. It's been quite some time since the President had been bequeathed full savior status at the inauguration. Not very much has changed since then. The Congress(led by repulsives Pelosi,Frank and the disgraced Dodd) are throwing the anchor off the back of the boat. Barney Frank himself deemed that the banks should have access to 4 trillion dollars in case they mess it all up a again. He showed some restraint saying,"Not to exceed 4 trillion." A nice round number Barney-do you know how many zeros are in a trillion?
The wars are the most obvious. We are still in both places and escalating-see Richard Nixon. That's enough said on that front.
The transparency promise was a ruse. Fully installed in the financial system is the banking system mole Tim Geithner. Completely inept in economic theory and history,he is abetting the Federal Reserve's quest to completely raid the Treasury and inflate money supply to insane proportions. He,along with the reappointed Fed Chairman, are attempting to fight a huge credit contraction with pathetic and yet at the same time ruinous amounts of public debt. This will hobble the US for the rest of it's rapidly shortened relevance in history.See Japan.
With all the stimulus, there has been a net zero jobs created. Which just goes to show that the government is terrible at anything they try to do, including all the regulations that should have been enforced before the banking system went haywire with illegal credit expansions.
The callow President, focusing on his pet project of healthcare, can't even get that going. he's already sold his soul to Big Pharma to rig that game.
I don't know how anyone expects the civilian force to abide by rule of law when the top of government constantly disregards it in favor of corporate handouts. The US has created a whole new form of government-Corporate Kleptocracy.http://community.nytimes.com/comments/www.nytimes.com/2010/01/17/us/politics/17massachusetts.html
