Bone-headed USA foreign policy? I quite like the idea of no more Islamic Jihad countries being armed with atomic bombs. Pakistan is enough [and Khan was busily expanding the possession of the technology].

Fortunately for the USA, it's quite likely that Russia and China might come to regret an Islamic bomb before the USA has to contend with it. But the USA has greater fear of it, so Russia and China can use it to pressure the USA.

Russians have dealt with Islamic Jihad on a much greater scale than the USA has had to cope with [though you'd never know it from news reports]. China is hardly in the clear either and Pakistan is not far away from their border with a strong contingent of Islamic Jihadists resident in western China and no doubt spreading beyond.
