No, that context isn't enough to change anything. Two or three presidents didn't create the debt, you have many presidents, and thousands of members of congress, as well as many factors outside of government that all affect deficits and debts.

And when the Republicans where slinging the spending around the Democrats where asking for more.

As for the Republican's charge about the Democrat's, its accurate. The problem is the same charge is accurate about Republicans. The majority of the most powerful members of both parties have been fiscally irresponsible.
