I don't worry much about the older folk. My parents and most of their friends are in their 80s and take their voting rights very seriously. Much more seriously than most young people do.

The climate is harsh so a significant portion of that age group routinely vote via absentee ballot rather than risk unpredictable weather conditions. If you don't see many elderly people at the voting booth, it doesn't necessarily mean they're not voting. The ones still in town often don't want to risk the weather .. and many of the others are snowbirds who also routinely vote absentee because they're snuggled in their FL condos by this time in January.
