No. It is best to vote for the most qualified candidate. For example, in our district, we have a Notre Dame, and Wharton graduate who is brilliant and a conservative. He is on the democratic ticket every term but is far more conservative than any republican who runs against him. It would be a mistake to put in a lesser qualified person. We have too many of them in Washington from both parties and we have the terrible results because of this. It is a mistake to vote straight party ticket. We then are not doing our jobs when voting.

Term limits are a must.
