Interesting. I really like Friedman, but I think he's underestimating the ability of the Communist Chinese to be able to suppress the free flow of information, while still reaping the benefits of a market economy. And the US is aiding and abetting them with our refusal to get tough with them on their currency manipulation.

I'll make a bold prediction. The day that the Chinese currency floats is the day that the Communist Party goes into permanent decline.
