Re: Concerning the "gerrymandering" issue that you are discussing -- do you have any thoughts concerning the impact of the upcoming 2010 census?

(What I expect --- since Gerrymandering is alive and well in nearly every state in the nation, is that the same thing that ALWAYS happens will happen: whichever political party is in control of the local legislature will warp the political lines to protect it's incumbents. The result of this process - each party, progressively drawing 'safe' districts to protect it's own folks - is that we have extremely little turn-over in American elections... with incumbents, of either party, routinely winning reelection about 90%+ of the time. Nearly all of the evenly divided, the districts that would be competitive, have been squeezed out of existence.)

Re: "I am lead to believe, but am uncertain, that it may embody an intentional attempt at voter redistribution associated with the form and data-gathering field workers."

I don't know what you mean by that. What is "voter redistribution"?

If what you are talking about is redrawing the lines then, Hell yes, that is exactly what is going to happen. Same process that has been ongoing for decades.... (And a very sad result it is to....)
