He has done that for years. I tried to cut him some slack by giving him a walking stick and a cane because I thought it would encourage him to honest debate--but he remains a cripple in every way.

So my defense of him was emotionally prompted by a sympathy for the underdog--and a feeling for the poor, the weak, the sick, and the afflicted. But I now must withdraw some of my criticism of yourself and Less in your dealings with Greg or e. It felt like you were bullying and tag-teaming him. I don't like seeing people bullied--but he refuses to play fair, decent, and above board--and that is undoubtedly (I see now) what persuaded you to such caustic rhetoric.

Understand that he hears none of this discussion. He believes that he is being persecuted for his defense of Christ. Much of his smug satisfaction of martyrdom comes from John chapters 15, 16, and 17. The common values of human decency can exist in him only insofar as they do not threaten primitive dogma. SAD...
