You have nailed it! Exactly! For some reason, some of the posters on this thread have fallen into the Yale-Harvard elitist spin about how you must speak to hold a national office.

Oh puh-lease. Give me a break! I'm not from academia and couldn't care less about her "Alaskan jargon". I come from Boston .. have you heard them speak lately?? Do you think I would really poke fun at her "Alaskan" dialect?! LOL

I keep seeing "compared to this one", "compared to that one" and that's all well and good once the primaries are over and we have to pick that way. But I'm not going there until I see all the hats thrown in the ring. I'm more interested in ferreting out the yet undiscovered jewel than I am in the "Grooming Sarah" show.

Some of the things in my list. I want to see demonstrable intelligence (having nothing to do with Alma Mater or GPA) - about domestic, constitutional and international issues, quick wits and strength for a start. In the oval office, I don't care much for folksy. I had my fill of that with Jimmy Carter.
