MISH, you forgot the 2 biggest pieces to the puzzle.

1. it is ILLEGAL to reinstate glass-steagall per the WTO. ILLEGAL. i think that is worth a mention, don't you?
2. it was glass-steagall AND THE Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 that, combined enabled all this damage. there is a reason why the criminal banksters spent $100s of millions for this setup. you don't withhold proper context in your article by focusing on just one piece of the puzzle.

the banksters have the american people by their jewels... "let us commit crime and give us unlimited amounts of money or we destroy your retirements."

guess what, people, THEY WILL STEAL ALL THE MONEY AND DESTROY YOUR RETIREMENTS, TOO!

forcing retirement accounts into treasuries is wholesale theft for everyone not in retirement or not very close to retirement. why? the government will take the retirement money and still be broke. therefore, they will have to raise taxes $1.10 for every $1.00 they pay back in coupon - making the retirement account NULL AND VOID and ADDING another 10% theft of coupon value.

it boils down to this - do what is right. jail the criminals. shut down the criminal syndicate banksters. create state banks ala the north dakota (which is prospering right now). move the money powers where the founding fathers envisioned it and where people can vote every two years if they don't like the way they control the money powers.
