Didn't bother with P&T link...

<Does the DNA of the food we eat survive the digestive process?>

You didn't answer the relevant question.

The fact that you think consuming the different DNA sequences are what biologists are worried about is actually quite disturbing. In other words, theres no nice way to say this... you know nothing of the issue.

<it's not meaningless .... if DNA in our food is going to harm us it has to persist in our bodies somehow.

As you can see from above... IT IS MEANINGLESS... because your "if" is irrelevant.

<Native Americans didn't evolve to eat rice or wheat or peaches. People from the Old World didn't evolve to eat maize, chocolate, potatoes, tomatoes. >

Sure... and all sorts of interesting research is going on as to what types of people do best on what foods. Further, the government DOES put out new recommendations about eathing as new science comes out (less fat, etc.).

That is irrelevant to the discussion at hand as we're talking new foods.

<Not necessarily. >

Yes it does... in fact it's the best science available for ANY study EVER DONE. OF course therea are always exceptions in individuals.

<I see ... you're going to avoid commenting on Penn Jillette's comments because you don't have the time.>

I have no idea what you're talking about.. post the article or watever your point is and I'll comment.
