It's a funny thing...browsing. Years ago, hubby traveled all the time, and I was home with the kiddies....I was chomping at the bit to go someplace for the weekend, and he wanted to stay home and relax. The kids Doc told both of us we HAD to get out for at least 4 hours a weekend together, babysitter for the kids, and we could walk in the park, read a book there, go window shopping or whatever....but away from the little ones for awhile.
So, we did that. One day we were driving someplace, I saw a building that had a big banner....
Antique Guns (he likes antique guns
but in the store window, I saw Antique Glass... (I love antique brilliant cut glass in particular)
I said: Let's go in...the sign says Antique Guns....<gg>
We went in, had a great time looking around, didn't buy anything that day, but had started a marriage long habit of spending some time together sans kids, and learning about antiques of all sorts, art work of all sorts, jewelry, and many other interesting things. Lots of museums, shops, art galleries, etc.
Nearly everything in our house has a memory attached.
Life is good (most of the time) <ggg> |
