I called syqt today and were told I could purchase right now and it would be shiped in 3-4 days. At this price, it is not only a threat to jaz, but also to zip as zip+ is priced exactly at $199. Plain internal zip is available for $99. I'm afraid that IOM will cut price and negatively effect IOM's earning in near term. Long term, it increases awareness of removable drives vs HD. It may not be a bad thing for IOM. The market certainly can sustain two vendors. Don't know what technology sqyt is using and hope it can make a nice profit at this price. Hope sqyt executes well this time around. It has iom's marketing team working over there.(ws)
