I agree. I don't share the author's concern about the frog in the heating water. I understand where he's coming from but I don't think it's as risky as he does.

OTOH, my ideas about which pieces should be brought to the table will likely differ from that of the Dems. For example, they will probably propose mandatory guaranteed issue where I would require all policies be offered with a guaranteed renewal option. But at least the questions can be aired and discussed better in smaller packages.
