Been there, done that JM. One can always withdraw funds from an RRSP or RRIF...Transferred stock directly from my Riff to my TFSA. But you have to pay tax on all funds (or stock) withdrawn from a RRSP, of course. Incidentally, as Marcos points out, that's the essential difference between them; You fund a TFSA with money that you've already paid tax on. Not so the RRSP.
