The chart is absolutely meaningful in the context in which I created it. On this thread, there was a lot of jibber jabber about how Obama is increasing our debt and will be responsible for doubling our debt. So I created and then posted this chart to show, that if we were to blame the debt on Presidents, then the GOP Presidents are more at fault than the Dem Presidents.

Now, if we were to do a more accurate analysis of the reality on the ground in DC, what we'd need to do is look at which was the majority party in the House and Senate since the days of Reagan, and then calculate which party is responsible for the majority of the debt according to Congressional majorities. I saw that someone had already done a quick and dirty analysis on this thread doing just that. I believe it was tenchusatsu.

But I will typically fight back at stupidity with like kind arguments. If someone says Obama is at fault, then I'll show them why their own Presidents did even more damage. But if we want to get real and talk about how things actually work, then I would be most pleased to elevate the level of our discussion.

I have taken your post at face value. You asked me to be serious for a bit and I was. I hope you respond in kind.
