Thank you so much for your reply and I don't think it had been taken until I chose it. I changed it and then hit availability and it told me it was acceptable. When I saw I had misspelled it I tried to go back and correct it with the letter missing and when I again checked availability, it told me it was taken and yes it was taken by me, but spelling was incorrect. I'm thinking because it was misspelled it was acceptable, but in truth was already in use and that was my fault so maybe I am stuck with it for a year.

If I can't get it corrected, it's going to be a long, long year of being "down the creek without a paddle" before I can decide if I want to keep it or change back to the original I have used since I first signed on to SI and hoping the alias still fits me next year. Wonder how many are going to post to me it is misspelled? Have already had one do so and another say "keep it, it sounds Southern". Yes, I'm very Southern and yes, I did know how to spell it correctly before I typed it in incorrectly, just to set the record straight. <gg>
