Two ways of answering that I think.... 1) It is the law currently and so, YES, I 'feel' that it should be uniformly applied. Same as I feel about ANY law. 2) But if you are asking me if it was up to me to 'write the Constitution anew', would I 'feel like' writing that exact same provision in again... I guess my answer would be that I don't really 'feel' that it would be all that important. (Not over-much concerned about possible "allegiance to the British Crown" anymore....) Probably lots of OTHER areas in the Constitution that I'd want to reemphasize or clarify for modern ears because I 'feel' that the courts have mis-interpreted them or otherwise let us astray. Does that answer your question?
