oh, and I agree on in-laws in general. Paul is an exception. one, he's been around 30 years now. but more so, he is such a fine person and he and my sister are truly friends and with some rough patches that have hit, I realize that no matter what they decide, he really is adopted - and that is partly a result of his odd family situation - and since he was 15, he really had no family. he comes here a couple times a year on his own just to visit my folks and he and my dad go off on golfing trips for a few days, and he does some things on my mothers honey-do list. he is so good to them. but that is what I realized when I gave him my Papa's Sunday hat - after long talks with my sister about the situation, cause that was one of those rough patches for them as a couple.

I have a couple of necklaces of my Grandmother's (mother's mother) than I almost gave to a woman a time or two. so glad I held back. :) I will buy one if I can, or no necklace. those go the girls in the family. but if I ever do give one to a woman outside of the family... oh my. that'd be serious.
