That is an interesting lesson. I look way ahead of me when I'm driving in order to take in everything going on. I want to see as much of the view in front of me as possible so I can react soon enough if I need to. I admit I do that when I'm a passenger too. I think I'm going to try that skiing, although it is good to look directing in front of you when you're flying down a slope in case there is something you don't want to hit with your skis, (sometimes even that doesn't work, like yesterday when I was having a really nice run and whooooooooshhhh I caught an edge and down I went. I laughed, so it wasn't a bad thing, but totally unexpected since the snow looked fine to me) but if you're on some nice corduroy, I think looking far ahead would make the movement of your feet and legs more relaxed and reflexive.
