It falls into the same category as sailing. One day I just said it's time to move on. I knew that I was going to end up getting hurt. All the local ski areas around here were packed with snowboarders who were hill bashers. Lines an hour or more long. Bumper to bumper traffic on the freeways and up the hill.

It's the same as with traveling. I used to fly first class, bags carried by the corporate travel agent, met by limos, and no lines. I can't imagine flying anywhere now.

I still use skiing as a device to fall asleep though. I imagine I'm skiing down an endless slope. If that doesn't work, I play a round of golf. Never make it to the 18th hole. ;)
