I'm sorry but I have no control over what Steve does or does not have. Sorry to hear about that, Steve.

I can afford to take out a full page ad in the St. Pete Times, the homeless guy at the bus shelter can't ... so my freedom of speech should be curtailed until he is a little more flush? Or maybe you think nobody should be able to take out an ad in the paper addressing political matters? Political speech is a pretty important type of speech ... if all I was allowed to address in a public forum is sports and stocks my freedom of speech wouldn't be worth much.

There is nothing disingenuous about my post, I was correcting his misunderstanding over the court decision. It does not address giving money to candidates, it addresses spending money on "electioneering" type statements ... like if the Sierra Club took out an ad in October 2007 discussing Bush's history regarding conservation.
