Interesting question! Their should be an increase in the inventory during the last 2 quarters to compensate for the reduction in sales and profits for the last 2 quarters. On the other hand there wil be a large increase in revenue and a corresponding decrease in inventory during this 4th quarter. The actual selling prices were not inflated, however. They were the prices that distys actually paid to S3. Prices charged by distys to their end customers are not relevant.

(The Far East distributors probably kept their inventories relatively level for this whole time period.)
