I would think someone of your intelligence could easily discern the difference.
In Islam it is Muslims themselves, here on this earth, who are to slay the wicked, ostensibly on Allah's behalf.
In the Bible passage you quoted, which by the way is a parable, it is God himself who slays the wicked. Nowhere are Christians told to kill their fellow man in God's name. Quite the opposite, we Christians are plainly told to suffer and NOT strike back, even unto death.
If you wanna argue with the (alleged) Almighty of the Bible, that is your prerogative, but Christianity is miles away from Islam in appropriate killing time (any Muslim anywhere anytime) and who the executor (Christianity's God and His Son, and on occasion, holy angels) is. I suppose getting angry at the Christian God might register on His radar screen, or a loud proclamation on your part of total disbelief in Him may get you noticed, but it won't get you killed by Christians. Getting angry at or disagreeing with the Almighty also won't change his actions, last I checked. I don't remember Him taking a vote from progressives as to the justness of His end time killings, but I suppose one can protest just the same.
I fail to see any similarity. All over the world Christians are oppressed and killed in Allah's name wherever Islam is dominant, and they have their book to back their actions up. I challenge you to find where muslims are killed because they are Muslims by Christians anywhere in the world. If you do, we Christians will disavow those Christians actions, or call them non Christians ourselves. |
