Good Morning Kent Reeves. It is easy to tell you why the sky appears blue. It is more difficult to tell you why there are two versions of creation written in the Bible. Some Christians believe there may have been two creations, others say it is a test of their faith. No one knows, though some may pretend to do so.

The sky only appears blue. It is actually black as it is when you see it at night. Light from the sun refracting through the atmosphere creates the blue that you see. You can also observe the same color in masses of ice such as you see in icebergs and glaciers.

There are two versions of creation because that is the way it was either written or translated. That is all. Don't try to make too much of simple things, it will give you ulcers. If it were for us to know a deeper meaning, whoever wrote it would have told us more. It wasn't meant to be.

Remember, life is like a river. We float down it to the sea. And though we can easily swim from bank to bank, we cannot swim back upstream. It would tire us quickly. So enjoy the ride knowing that ultimately our journey to the sea will end. And there is comfort in that.
