Yes, apparently you are correct, and the blaming part will
continue. I also agree the behavior of many individuals and
institutions was criminal, and some of it is coming to light.

However, my point was, what good does it do to blame the captain
of a sinking Titanic? Everyone will die anyway, so maybe it's
better to just focus on securing lifeboats.

Blamewise, there will be a clown show this week, interesting to
watch -g-

Folks reading these bear threads know well who is to blame,
so, the process of recognizing these culprits may not
be of much interest -g-

The question that is far more interesting to me at this
time:

Will the recent major change in BS words from the Administration
result in firing of the Clinton criminally impotent economic crew
and a replacement of these folks with someone more
decent like Volcker? Will the US finally pursue policies
that put the ship on the right path?

I agree with you, blaming the right people is part of the
process, and I am happy this is happening, because
these very same people are still at the helm of the Titanic.
I also hate synthetic markets -g-
