you'd need to contact Janet Shell (sp?)- she used to run the barbacoa on SI. She had many interesting recipes.

But the real recipe for dead Neocon is to make sure Obama succeeds, and for him to succeed we on the left need to be a little less demanding, and unrealistic.

We live in a messed up political system where money walks and makes the bullshitters talk. No one man, or one party, can make that stop. We have the government our corporate masters have given us- all we can hope for is to tilt the table one way or the other. With Obama we have a leftward tilt, and those of us on the left who want more should remember that by being cranky and obstructionist, we may very well get less. I would hate to see irritation with Obama over his tendency to try to compromise with people (it's one of the reasons we elected him, and saw him as such an antidote to Bush), end up putting republicans in office. Where ever you go, who ever you talk to, try to remind these people about what the choice was- and imo things would be infinitely worse if McCain and won. We have so many little gains going on all over government (gains the reps absolutely hate :-) so you KNOW something is happening)- and we should try to look at the glass as half full.

Imagine who McCain would have put on the supreme court- not Sotomayor. And Stevens may retire- so that's one more liberal seat safe for years and years to come (hopefully).

I want change. I really do- but to beat the other side you don't start by whacking your own guy with the shillelagh.

Kiss kiss
