I'm jealous. A 54% vote in Cal would be a loser; takes 2/3's vote to pass money-related matters...Prop 13.

For years, wingers up here have tried to emulate what CA did with Prop 13. In OR, they have been more successful, and as a consequence, slowly but surely, revenue sources for the state and local gov'ts have dried up and the state is always in a fiscal crisis......even during good times. The people finally did the right thing and stuck it back to the assholes who have been making their lives miserable. Here in WA state we keep voting down all the tax rollbacks.......apparently people here are a bit smarter. Its crazy....we are at war with each other.......between the rich and not so rich.
