It does apply to anyone.

But as corporations are sociopathic as mandated by law!, they will lie with impunity when a person would not.

Think of all corporations as sociopaths and you will see the problem the supreme court fell on us.

They law says they are to do their best to increase shareholder worth. And lies will do that without being illegal.
