Don't be 'silly'.

Bill was WRITTEN and sponsored by a famous GOP Senator. (He next recruited a DEM Senator to co-sponsor the proposal he had written so it could be called "bipartisan".)

(Bu the way... don't know *how* Senator Gregg will explain voting against his OWN PROPOSAL. But I'm sure he will try. <GGG>)

Bill had Dem *and* (up until, say, a week ago :-) GOP sponsors in the Senate. (All the GOP Senate backers then flip-flopped....)

Bill had and STILL HAS GOP and DEM sponsors in the House.
