You don't get it. You don't understand the country or the constitution. The states can provide what the individuals need. If the population of a state finds something they can agree on by a majority, they can vote on the issue. All states don't have to agree on what New York City, the State of California or Washington wants. It isn't the role of the Federal Government to provide for everyones "wants".

You simply have a block in your head on this issue.
