You seem to attribute a star chamber level of brilliance and omnipotence to bankers. I think that's misguided. Bullion and central banks played a key role in nearly destroying the industry where I made my living during the late 1990's and I have no affection for them. I invested heavily in that manipulative bottom and I only work now when I want to.

The Fed has granted Wall Street near absolute power and they are well on the way to destroying themselves with all that power. It's an outcome well predicted by history. I will remain heavily invested in gold as long as bankers continue this game because I believe they will lose. In a decade or two some other group will be on the verge of ruling the world. Maybe farmers, maybe prostitutes, maybe evangelists. You may find yourself fighting a futile battle against them too.
