That's strange. According to everything I've read, the protocol mandated by the Options Clearing Center is YYMMDD."

Internally Schwab is using the mm/dd/yyyy, so to get a quote on AAPL Feb 200 calls, one enters "AAPL 02/20/2010 200.00 C" (without the quotes).

Evidently, Schwab is converting their format to the OCC's format for Schwab-to-exchange communications.
