When I made that comment I was speaking of this constant right wing drum beat about why we should allow torture, deny due process and allow illegal government intrusions (as bush did with illegal wire tapping, etc)and ignoring the Geneva accords which we signed!.

And the constant lie from the right wing that waterboarding is not torture when we all know we put Japanese soldiers to death for waterboarding because we considered it torture.

How we must become monsters (ala Cheney)to protect ourselves from terrorists. Never mind that China and Russia are a zillion time more dangerous than any terrorist's, whom the right wing completely took their eyes off!

And how we must deny people their "civilized rights" and instead torture them. And how it is too scary to close Gitmo and bring those people to the US and how our jails cannot safely hold them. All LIES! And the right wing knows they are lies.

All I have been hearing from the right wing for almost a decade is constant fear mongering, for political reasons. Constant fear mongering, which is exactly what Hitler did to get the Germans to behave as monsters.

That is what my comment was directed at.
